Donald A. Miller, CFA, served as the CEO and President of Piedmont Office Realty Trust from 2007 until his retirement in 2019. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Before joining Piedmont, Miller led real estate activities at Wells Real Estate Funds and headed U.S. equity operations at Lend Lease. He has a long history in real estate, having worked in acquisitions, property management, and investment management. During his tenure, he focused on aligning the company’s goals with shareholder interests, implementing performance metrics related to operational efficiency and capital management. Despite retiring in 2019, he left a solid foundation for his successor. After his resignation, he received a cash payment to cover the value of stock awards he had earned.
