Mitchell B. Lewis, born in 1963, is the former CEO of BlueLinx Holdings, a key player in the building products industry. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Emory University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan. Prior to BlueLinx, Lewis led Euramax Holdings as CEO, where he drove growth and managed significant changes. He joined BlueLinx in January 2014 and led a major company transformation, earning a $750,000 bonus for his efforts in 2018. During the pandemic in 2020, in a notable move, he chose to reduce his salary to just $1 a month for six months to help the company through tough times. Despite ups and downs in the company’s performance, Lewis emphasized aligning management with shareholder interests. After nearly a decade at the helm, he retired as CEO in June 2021 but continued with the company as a board member.
