Vito J. Consiglio became the CEO of Rayonier Advanced Materials in January 2022, stepping in after the previous CEO, Paul Boynton, retired. He held the role for just a few months, resigning in May 2022. Before joining Rayonier, Vito was the Chief Commercial Officer at Ashland Global Holdings and had a strong background in the specialty materials sector. He studied Physiology and Chemistry at Michigan State University, then earned his MBA from the University of Chicago. His main focus has always been on improving business strategies. It’s interesting to note that during his short time as CEO, he was offered a hefty salary of $1 million, but he faced an unexpected termination resulting in a final compensation package of about $5 million, mainly due to severance payments. Vito has also shown commitment to education and community through his involvement with the Delaware STEM Council, underlining his belief in developing future talent.
