John M. Anzalone has been the CEO of Invesco Mortgage Capital Inc. since 2017. Before that, he was the Chief Investment Officer from the start of the company in 2009. He is a well-experienced figure in finance, having joined Invesco’s Fixed Income Division in 2002 and managing various investment strategies. John holds a B.A. in Economics from Hobart College and an M.B.A. from the Simon School at the University of Rochester. He has also been a Chartered Financial Analyst since the early days of his career. What's interesting is that his role at Invesco is linked to the management fee paid to their external managers; he has not received traditional cash bonuses or stock awards, which makes up most of the compensation model for executives at Invesco. This aligns his interests closely with shareholders, focusing on the long-term health and performance of the company. Over the years, John has seen numerous market shifts and has adapted to numerous economic changes, proving that he thrives in a dynamic landscape.
