Shaygan Kheradpir, born in 1962, has a solid academic background with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He took up the CEO position at Juniper Networks in January 2014, transitioning from a similar role at Barclays PLC, where he was in charge of operations and technology. Although his time as CEO at Juniper was brief, ending in November 2014, it did come with a substantial compensation package totaling around $30 million in 2014, which included a hefty sign-on bonus of $5 million. Kheradpir is known for his work in engineering and technology, having been behind several innovations during his career. Interestingly, despite the controversy surrounding his departure from Juniper related to leadership issues, he remains a significant figure in the tech space, previously earning a spot in CIO Magazine’s Hall of Fame.
